Ridgeline Roofing is a speculative brand identity project developed to demonstrate capability in the residential and commercial roofing industry. The brief was written to reflect the real conditions of established trade businesses that have outgrown their visual identity — companies generating serious revenue while carrying brand assets that no longer reflect who they have become.

The Brand Identity Solution
The roofing industry has a branding problem. Nearly every company operates within the same visual territory — cartoon rooftops, generic serif fonts, forgettable colour palettes — producing a market where established businesses are visually indistinguishable from fly-by-night operators. The consequence is real: homeowners choosing between contractors rely heavily on trust signals, and a brand that looks unresolved communicates risk before a single conversation happens. The brief for Ridgeline was clear. The company had eleven years of operational history, fourteen trucks, and a growing commercial division. The brand needed to reflect the company it had become, not the one it started as. The strategic foundation rested on a single idea: established, durable, earned. This is a company that grew through reputation and craftsmanship, not through marketing. Every visual decision was made to serve that truth. The mark is a set of three geometric parallelograms with horizontal texture breaks — evoking layered roofing materials without depicting a literal roof. The diagonal axis carries the angle of a pitched roof abstractly, reading as a mark of precision rather than an illustration of a product. It has mass. It reads as something that could be stamped into metal. The wordmark uses a high-contrast serif at full weight — heavy enough to communicate durability, refined enough to hold its own across both a 26-foot truck wrap and a 6-inch yard sign. The descriptor ROOFING is set in tracked small caps beneath, providing immediate industry clarity without competing with the primary wordmark.
Impact & Results
A brand identity system that allows an established roofing contractor to visually match the quality of their operational reputation. The system works across every touchpoint relevant to the trade — vehicles, worksites, workwear, and proposals — without visual compromise at any scale. The mark is distinctive enough to stand alone on a cap or a uniform patch. The full lockup commands attention on a truck. The system communicates one thing above all else: this company has been here for years and will be here when your roof needs attention again.
